Energy Package from a Debt Consolidation Expert’s POV
There is much talk from our government these days about energy packages and how they are going to save UK citizens money while saving the world. However, many residents don’t realize what this means for them, or even understand the policies that are being drafted.
The government has a new £1 billion energy plan that they have come up with which would help homeowners to take advantage of a savings of £300 each year on their energy bills. This sounds fantastic, but some experts say that the plan won’t work. Debt consolidation experts say that the amount of money saved is too little and will come too late to help many.
The plan has many components, including adding insulation, increasing the amount that pensioners get in the winter months, discounted tariffs for a large portion of their customers, etc. They say that Gordon Brown has some great ideas, but not all of them are feasible.
Debt consolidation experts say that with the average energy bill estimated to be much higher this year than it was last; many are left with issues regarding paying all of their other bills as well. They say that many are going to have financial problems due to energy bills and may want to start looking into debt consolidation programs to relieve some of the burden.
For those that have multiple bills in addition to their energy bills, debt consolidation may be able to take some of the pressure off of them. They should start looking into ways of solving their financial problems before they become too overwhelming.
