When you are trying to re-establish (or remain in
good standing in the first place) your credit
standing, it is imperative that you make all of your
payments on time. It is simply crucial to your
rebuilding status. After all, rebuilding a good
credit history is not something that happened
overnight and you have to understand that it will
not happen if you are not paying your monthly bills
on time. Do not throw away all of your hard work
trying to fix your credit by hampering your efforts
with late payments. It is not going to help your
case at all if you are making your credit card and
other payments late.
I have a friend who has irritated about the fact
that her car payment was due at the worst time of
the month for her. It was always due when she was
not getting a paycheck. She would end up paying her
car loan late while she was waiting for her next pay
check. Hen she would get mad when the late payments
started posting to her loan. This problem is not for
the lender to fix. I reminded her than she simply
needed to be prepared ahead of time for such loan
payments. Instead of waiting for her next paycheck
and stacking up late payments, I told her to take
the money out from her previous paycheck and put it
towards the loan payment. This takes disciple and
effort – but it must be done - bottom line.
After all, who is lending the money to whom here
folks? You must always understand that the ender is
in control here, you are borrowing their money not
the other way around. You have plan ahead when it
comes to making payments in order for them to always
be on time. If you cannot pay your payments on time,
maybe it is time to look for another part time job
that will enable you to so. You could even get the
job as a temporary one where you make enough to pay
your bills ahead of time by at least a month. I have
another friend who gets a part time job in retail
just during the holidays for this purpose. She uses
the money she makes from the temp job to pay for
holiday shopping as well as a cushion for making
payments ahead of time for the next year. Holiday
jobs are great because you are typically let go
without further obligation (such as two week notice)
once the holiday rush is over. You make extra money;
you establish a working relationship with a company
that will very likely hire you easily for the next
holiday season too. Paying your bills on time is
essential and there are ways you can make this
happen easily just as we mentioned above.
Worth mentioning: A debt consolidation loan is a
loan you can take out so you can pay off your
existing debts and only have one new monthly payment
that you will have to pay. These loans are great for
helping people become debt free too. If they are
used properly as a tool for eliminating credit card
bills carry high interest without you adding more
charges to the cards you clear, you can really see a
difference in your credit standing due to the fact
that you pay off old debt and with the money saved
from the old high interest rated cards, you will get
out of debt much quicker. For more info regarding
this type of loan se our main new article page where
you will find many helpful articles about these
loans.
So, while paying your bills on time each month is
important for re-establishing your credit standing,
it is not impossible either. There are many ways (as
stated above) that you can take action to ensure
your bills are getting paid on time – use some
disciple and you will see the results.
