            A New Financial Outlook

What makes you happy?

Try thinking about what makes you happy, what you are truly enjoying in life. Make a list. Take a few days to make the list too – do not be hasty – really consider the things that make you feel joy. Once you have completed you list check to see if it includes things like time spent with your spouse, friends or family. This list of yours may include being met at the front door after a long day by your loyal dog – or sitting quietly with your cat. Maybe your list includes listening to music, watching TV or something like that. Having more things that make you happy is probably not about spending more money. In fact, if you are really honest, you could possibly come to realize that having debt actually makes being really happy more difficult. Having debt actually increases stress, changes your priorities, takes your last bit of energy that should be spent playing with your kids, it even affects your health over a period of time. Having debt takes your life out of natural balance making you focus on only what makes money to pay off your debt. Because of this there are many reasons to get the heck out of so much debt and back to the times when you can swing on the front porch talking to your family about something other than bills.

If you feel you need a pep talk (which is so common with people seeking true debt freedom and they have a lot of debt still), here is a list of reasons to want to get out of debt and move towards that debt free life.

You will want to get pout of debt to:

·         Stop getting those horrible phone calls from bill collectors all the time.

·         To have money to go out to eat once a week with

·         Be able to afford a new car or go on a vacation for a change

·         Be proud of a great new credit standing

·         Not have to worry about the electricity getting cut off.

·         Be able to change jobs.

·         Be able to obtain a new credit card (not just to use either) or a new car loan.

Feel free to add to this list any unique or personal reason or reasons you may have for wanting to get out of debt. We all have different reasons, but the ones listed above are pretty darn typical of people who need to get back on the road to financial security.

Try checking out a library book on financial coaching for more pep talks on a regular basis. These books are usually full of interesting and helpful information that you can truly consider when looking at a new financial outlook to your debt and getting rid of it.

You may want to embrace a simplified life too. Sometimes when we set our selves free from the extra unnecessary purchases in life we appreciate what we have more.
