Caution in Shopping Saves Buyers Remorse
When you are out and about at your favorite mall, etc. and
you have your credit cards on you – be wary of spending too
much. Many people currently looking at large amounts of
credit card debt are doing so because of impulse buying.
They tell themselves that they can pay it back later, and
don’t really think about the ramifications of purchasing the
item.
However, let’s say that you are at the mall and you have
cash with you instead. Are you going to be as haphazard
about purchasing things if you see the actual money going
out of your hands? Many times it will force you to look at
shopping another way.
What do you do if you have already gone down this path?
Well, if you have more than one card and are making the
minimum monthly payment on that card – you can assume that
there is a better way of getting debt free. You can get a
debt consolidation loan, which will help you put all of your
debts into one monthly payment saving you money and hassle
in the end.
There are credit card debt consolidation loans that are
specifically made for those that have too many credit cards
and want to put them into one payment. There are usually two
kinds – secured, where it goes against your house or car and
unsecured, where no collateral is needed.
Know that for the most part the secured debt is going to
have a lower interest rate than the unsecured as the bank is
taking more of a risk with you than if they have a home or
something they can go after to get the debt paid back. They
base the payment of the loan on interest, length of time,
how much borrowed, etc.
