US Senate Vote Will Help With Credit Card
Transactions
A recent vote in the United States Senate is going to make it
easier for consumers to get assistance with their credit card
transactions. They say that although debt consolidation is still
a great idea when dealing with creditors and money that they
cannot afford to pay each month, there may be hope for them
earlier on.
The new bill would allow merchants to give consumers the ability
to provide consumers discounts based on the method of payment.
If they use Visa or MasterCard they would pay more for their
items, and by using a debit card they would pay less. This would
keep the credit card companies from continuing to charge
ridiculous amounts of money to merchants and the consumer would
be rewarded for it in the end. Companies like American Express
would be the hardest hit as they charge the most money for using
their card.
However, they say that all of the credit card companies are
guilty of it. For those that are already over drawn on their
credit cards they can look toward a debt consolidation to help
them pay them off faster than they would have otherwise been
able to do. A debt consolidation will enable the consumer to
consolidate their debts under one loan which will give them a
lower payment and a lower interest rate each month. They will
save hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the life of the
loan. It is imperative that whatever you choose to do that you
handle your debt promptly and start working toward a debt free
lifestyle. It will save you money as well as stress.
