Non Profit Debt
Consolidation
There are lots of companies out there that would love to take
your money to get you a debt consolidation loan. They could
charge you and arm and a leg to get one and you wouldn’t really
know the difference – all you know is that they are “helping
you” get debt free. This only makes sense if you are looking to
waste money – which if you are looking for a debt consolidation
loan you probably are not in that category.
There are non profit debt consolidation companies out there that
want to help you for free or for a reduced amount. Many of them
use a sliding scale to determine how much you can afford to pay
to get into a debt consolidation loan. They look at how much
debt you have and how much income you have and if you can afford
something they charge you that amount, and if you can’t afford
anything they don’t charge for their services.
Remember, you can always get one on your own as well. Simply add
up the number of bills that you have, and figure out how much
you owe – that is your total amount due. Look at your interest
rates and see what you are being charged as well. Once you have
this information you simply go to a bank or credit union and ask
for a debt consolidation loan in the amount of what you owe. You
then use this money to pay off your debts, and then pay down the
debt consolidation loan itself.
