You are Not Alone
Many people feel very alone when
dealing with debt. They don’t feel like they can tell their
friends or their families how they are really doing for fear
of being judged. However, in this day and age there are so
many people in the same situation that it really is not a
case of judgment anymore – it is a situation where you have
to get the best possible information out there.
Before you look into bankruptcy you might want to consider
debt consolidation. Debt consolidation is one way that you
might be able to handle your debts, and you might be able to
see some relief from the month by month struggle to make
your bills. Debt consolidation is not another loan, it is a
loan in place of the debt that you already have.
For most people it is credit card bills that bog them down.
With a debt consolidation all you have to do is add up all
of your bills and come up with the amount that you have to
borrow. You then get this money and you pay off all of your
existing debt with the debt consolidation money, and then
the only debt you have is the loan itself.
You then get rid of all of your credit cards so that you are
not tempted to rack them back up again. If you do, you will
then have the debt consolidation loan as well as the credit
cards to pay off – giving you double the amount of debt. But
if done wisely, you will have one payment for a lower amount
each month – due to the length of the loan and the interest
charged – relieving much of the stress that comes from
having large amounts of debt.
