NEWS: Netherlands and U.S. Merger

Speculation about ABN Amro Holding merging with a bank in the U.S. is a far cry different from concerns not to long go for ABN. Over the last year, ABN has seen a 25 % increase in net income, and since 2003, a whopping 43% rise.

This new rise in income is attributed to new measures in place such as fewer provisions for bad debt, and the rise in the stock markets.  ■
