Mom, I’m Home!

An estimated 4.3 million kids in Britain will be moving back home according to the online dating company Parship.com. There has been a high increase of “kids” between the ages of 25 and 50 who have found it just too difficult to live on their own.

Between the debt they have accumulated already, and the amount of debt they foresee themselves coming into – they have decided to move back to the home they grew up in. With escalating home prices, it has become almost impossible for them to purchase a home of their own, and rent prices keep increasing as well.

This makes it an uncomfortable situation for everyone. The child who comes home will end up feeling like a failure, especially if they are in the older end of the spectrum. The parents have just started discovering who they are without their children around, and this changes their lives and habits as well.
