Considerations to repeal the estate tax have many citizens concerned about our future generations. This tax, nicknamed the “death tax” by some, is currently used to finance things such as the war in Iraq.
This proposed tax cut helps a very small percentage of Americans, mainly the elite, upper tax bracket. Opposition to the repeal ague that without the estate tax, the money for the war and other things will come from poorer citizens and our future generations.
Opposition encourages Americans to think about the long-term effects of this repeal rather than any short-term bonuses. ■
