Reduce Credit Card Debt on Your
Terms
It is possible to get debt free. All it takes it know how and
commitment and anyone can get debt free. But there are things
that you have to do to make sure that you are living the way
that you should be and not spending beyond your means. Today’s
consumer has on average $10,000 worth of credit card debt. That
is insane! So the best thing you can do for yourself is to work
on getting rid of that debt.
It starts with a debt consolidation. You need to look at your
monthly bills and anything that can be consolidated should be.
All of your credit cards, your medical bills, personal loans,
etc. can all be paid for with a debt consolidation. You figure
out how much money you owe them all, and that is the amount that
you need to borrow. You then go to a bank and tell them how much
money you need to borrow and you pay off all of your bills with
that debt consolidation loan.
You then have to get rid of your credit cards. Your medical
bills and loans will be paid off so you won’t have to worry
about those – but you will still have your credit cards only now
they will be paid in full. Instead of keeping them around and
being tempted to use them, pay them off and get rid of them. If
you want you can keep one for emergencies, but only if you are
confident that you won’t use it. Otherwise get rid of that one
as well.
You will now have a lower payment than what you were paying for
all of them before so you will have money left over. You can use
that money to start a savings account for a rainy day, or you
can send it toward your debt consolidation to pay if off faster.
