| Debt Free News Report says consumers dislike online sales help January 3, 2007 In the day and age when many of our debt free news article readers find themselves doing more shopping from home; we are learning that many dislike the pushy and sometimes annoying assistance they get online when shopping. The debt free people out there that do not like unwanted help at online retail sites are the same people who were sad the day commercials came to the big screen and online news sites. Well, these days, we are all finding that when shopping for items such as electronics and other items on the Net, we are pushed by online sales help, yeas online live help. Just think of it like this, you turn to your computer for some stress free, sales rep free shopping, no so at many large retail online sites. Theses days, it seems many consumers are upset with salespeople that they encounter online. Besides, who are these salespeople and where are they actually. Even with all the publicity online retail hotspots got this past holiday season, many consumers are not pleased and will return to busy on land shopping malls next year. According to the story reported to our debt free news department today, one consumer found her online help and experience to be dreadful. She was lured to this site because it touted free shipping. The report states that a woman by the name of Karyn was shopping at a major online retail site. She was interested in purchasing a specific movie named Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. When she saw that the item was available, she selected it and at the site’s checkout, she bought the item – then she was hit with a shipping fee. Irritated at this (because she saw the free shipping ad) she opted to get live online chat help from the company’s sales department. At this time she entered into a huge issue regarding her help she was provided. Karyn was told by the online help to read the fine print on the ad for free shipping. She was also told that the company could not reverse any transaction already purchased. This is when she really got upset. She realized she had been tricked into entering the site by its boasting of it’s free shipping, and then found herself paying for the item and its shipping without proper customer services. In fact, she said she felt worse because she could not even see the salesperson that was gruff to her. When she was told the shipping would be attached to all media purchases, she was upset at the tricky fine print and unsatisfied with the lack of assistance from the company. She was never offered a customer is always right attitude and she only wanted her money back. Our debt free readers have to wonder if land based shopping would be better even with the traffic involved. After all, what debt free lifestyle achiever wants to be dissed online through some chat session by a sales rep they can’t even see? According to this report, thousands of online shoppers have had problems with items and purchases. Whether these complaints are from on time shipping guarantees gone bad, to wrong items shipped, consumers have not showed too much support for online purchases this year. (558) |
