Ford cars to get hip new addition called Sync
December 18, 2006
In January, Ford will be showcasing its great new idea for
making its cars full of style and technology. Ford will be
be adding a stylish and technologically advanced hands free
Bluetooth wireless system and in vehicle operating system to
its cars. Microsoft has been tapped in order to get Ford
back on the map in vehicle design. All of Fords models will
be offering this new technology to all of its models if the
buyer wants it that is.
The tech savvy system will be in collaboration with several
of the features consumers find on their PCs. All this and in
your car too. Ford is the first such company to offer this
advance in its vehicle line up.
This latest and greatest new feature is Ford's answer to
revving thins up a bit in its vehicle development – a
keeping up with the Jonses’ if you will. Many of our
debt free article readers may drive Ford s and some of them
may even have the company’s featured satellite radio
installed into their car as well. This newest feature is
right on the heals of that development and is showing Ford’s
continued ability to advance. In fact, Ford is expanding its
satellite radio options as well.
Ford is additionally adding tech savvy features such as
connection jacks for iPods. The new technologically advanced
offering at Ford will be called Sync and it will
feature a no hands mobile phone and other wire free
information features that will be located right in reach of
the driver and passengers. Won’t it be nice for our debt
free article readers to soon be driving cars where they can
receive emails and read debt free articles such as this one
along with the ability to download great new music? Yes it
will.
In many ways, the new development will be added right into a
vehicle’s navigation system – which is another great tech
savvy feature. Sync is developed with Microsoft's
innovative automotive operating system in mind. This ground
breaking system that in in the works includes the company's
Windows Automotive division. Some techies have been
critical of this program’s development saying it has been
plagued with glitches, but Microsoft is confident it is the
program to beat.
This is just one more great way for Ford to get ahead and
for Microsoft to get into vehicle. A great marriage indeed.
We shall see.
Some may already know that Microsoft has been working for
over 10 years to develop automobile technology.
The new offering of Sync will be available to consumers next
year an added feature on at least 2 auto models that are to
be redone in 2007. Which cars you say? They are the hipper
Focus (popular with the younger generation) and the Five
Hundred sedans (more popular with the older generation).
There after, when development implementation is complete all
Ford cards will finally have this option. It is even being
reported to our debt free money news department that Lincoln
and Mercury is set to follow suit.
For this of you who need to see this technology as soon as
possible will be able to see it at the Auto Show in Detroit,
Michigan as well as the Consumer Electronics Show in Las
Vegas, Nevada. These events both take place in the second
week of the new year.
While many consumers may be deterred by the complexity of
this new advance, we are assured it will be easy to learn
and operate. Even though many consumers feel more in vehicle
distractions could be harmful to safety – we are also
assured that hands free technology is actually safer. After
all, haven’t we all gotten sick of seeing all these TV
screens and other distraction in cars – everyone has them –
so why not make it safe. We praise any advancement in this
way. Debt free readers will agree.
