You Can Remove
Bankruptcy From Your Credit Report?
There are some companies out there that claim that they can
remove a bankruptcy from your credit report. Recently there was
an article in one of the financial blogs online that stated that
it was possible. They said that you simply had to dispute the
bankruptcy on your credit. Their solution was that a bankruptcy
was the same as any other loan or credit account on your credit
report and therefore it could be disputed by you.
They claim that because the credit report is not just showing
the bankruptcy, that it will show all of the closed accounts as
well, that you should try and get it removed from your credit.
They argue that you are never going to be able to get decent
credit with it on it, so you might want to go ahead and get it
removed. They also claim that there are companies out there that
can help you get it off of your credit.
Now we all know that if you have a bankruptcy on your credit and
you dispute it, you are going to find that you are still looking
at it on your credit report. Why? Because you went through
bankruptcy. Many of these companies are more than willing to
take your money to take care of this, but according to the law,
this bankruptcy is going to stay there until you actually get
rid of it seven to ten years later depending on your state.
